Urban Resilience, Climate Neutrality: The case of Thessaloniki
What is it like to live in a city with a polluted atmosphere? What does it mean to walk down the street and have nowhere to find coolness? How come every time it rains, floods are attributed to extreme weather events? How much are we at risk from the effects of climate change? Should we adapt to them or address their causes? With more of the above questions but with the belief that the impacts of climate phenomena and environmental degradation always affect the poorest, socially excluded and most vulnerable, we started a research on resilience and climate neutrality in the city of Thessaloniki.
